State Nomination

State Nomination
State nomination empowers state governments to nominate highly skilled migrants to fulfill their specific skill needs. This nomination enhances your chances of obtaining a skilled migration visa from the Australian government. Your residency status is determined by the visa subclass for which you receive the nomination. For the state government’s nomination, submit an EOI to both the state and to Federal government. You may be required to pay an application fee to apply for the state nomination. Applicants are ranked based on a points system, with those having more work experience, higher qualifications, and better English scores having higher chances of receiving an invitation. Note that EOI and state nomination applications are not visa applications. The state government processing may take up to 12 weeks.
After Receiving an Invitation: Upon state nomination, you’ll be informed of the skilled visa you’ve been accepted into. Submit a visa application within the validity of your state nomination. Ensure all required documents are submitted to the Department of Home Affairs to avoid undesirable outcomes.
